When ECW ended I was pretty much done following wrestling regularly. I would still watch the occasional match and be entertained and even kept up with storylines through the invasion, but there was something special about ECW. The thing that is so crazy about Heyman was the fact he could get anyone over. He took so many guys who either could not make or would not make it in WCW/WWE and made them stars while they were there. The man was just brilliant at putting people in position that they could succeed in. That is what so many promotions don't or can't do.
As far as the thread title goes for in-ring talent to me The Rock would still be by far the best option of anyone, but I doubt he comes back. Despite what the critics think the man could wrestle a good match, would sell his butt off for anybody's offense, and really did not seem to mind who he put over.
