Damn, Jake Shields is big... i always thought of him as a welter, was i wrong or did he just really bulk up? If so how much you think that may slow him down?

I doubt it. 184 for a guy that normally fights welter weight is about right. Low if anything. My boy fights 170 ammy and he does a 16lb cut.

I'm not a fan of Shields but I have a feeling he is close to busting out as one of the best fighters. Everyone though Lawler was going to hand him his ass on the feet and we know how that turned out.

I'd love to see Dana shell out some cash to bring him over and stir up the 170 division.

I agree, when I first saw the weigh in pic of Shields/Mayhem I thought Mayhem had been replaced with someone else, because Shields looked so much bigger than him.

Fedor Emelianenko, the number one heavyweight fighter in the world, and Brett Rogers meet in the main event of Saturday night’s Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers. The event is a milestone for the promotion, airing on network broadcast television as on CBS Saturday Night Fights.

The fighters stepped on the scales at the Sears Centre on Friday to weigh-in and make their bouts official.

The main event is all set with Emelianenko stepping on the scales, blue jeans and belt on, weighing 232 pounds, still more than 30 pounds lighter than his opponent. Rogers, hoping to pull off the upset and realize a dream, tipped the scales at 264 pounds. Not a lot taller than Fedor, Rogers looked quite a bit more muscular.

Rogers later told HDNet’s Ron Kruck, “(Fedor’s) weakness is his chin. I’m gonna go in for the kill.”

Jake Shields and Jason “Mayhem” Miller meet Saturday to fill the vacant Strikeforce middleweight title slot. Both easily made weight, Shields at 184.5 pounds, Miller at 184 pounds.

On the non-televised preliminary card, Dustin Neace weighed in at 150.5 pounds for his 145-pound bout with Jeff Curran, who easily made weight. Neace was given one-hour to make 146 pounds, the allowed limit for the bout.

Main Bouts (on CBS):
-Fedor Emelianenko (232) vs. Brett Rogers (264)
-Jake Shields (184.5) vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller (184)
-Gegard Mousasi (205) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (204)
-Fabricio Werdum (242) vs. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (263)

Preliminary Bouts:
-Marloes Coenen (145) vs. Roxanne Modafferi (140)
-Mark Miller (171) vs. Deray Davis (170.5)
-Jeff Curran (145) vs. Dustin Neace (150.5)*
-Shamar Bailey (170) vs. John Kolosci (171)
-Louis Taylor (185.5) vs. Nate Moore (184)
-Christian Uflacker (156) vs. Jonatas Novaes (155.5)

*Neace was given one hour to make 146 pounds.

For some reason, I completely forgot about the Shields vs. Miller fight. This is one tight ass fucking card, maybe the best MMA card we've had and will have in a while.

I think he just meant since nobody knows fedors weakness it will have to be his chin.
Really, even dudes with iron chins included, a chin is everyones weakness so I see what he meant by that. He didn't literally mean fedor has a weak chin...

You get hard hard enough, on the button, by the right guy, you're going down...
