Dude, I love ya Taps and I don't know a hell of a lot about baseball... As a choice.

But when the yanks have 3x the amount of titles than the NEXT CLOSEST team has, it's pretty obvious that they've got the biggest advantage in pro sports.

Congrats on #27 though.

This is why Yankees fans that live outside of New York, or I should say have never lived in New York are the lamest of lame sports fans.

Half the people here saying the Yanks bought a championship are the SAME people that 2 months into the season when the Yanks were under .500 were saying "see, money can't buy championships!", the predicting them to come in third in the division.

Ahhh well they'd be wrong. It most obviously can.

27 Yanks #1 ------ 9 A's #2

There's no misunderstanding this.

Not blaming the Yanks, as I'd do it too if I were them. MLB is flawed as a whole for letting this happen.

To be quite honest, with more than 2x the payroll of the next closest team, I'd expect them to have 50 championships by now.

It just bugs me because thats the easiest argument for Yankee haters. Its almost like when you get into a flame war with someone over an MMA topic and the resort to picking grammatical errors in your post because they dont know anything else.

I had a coworker today at work tell me it must be nice to buy 27 championships. Really? they bought all 27? Because i'm pretty sure the yankees didnt spend this type of money until the 90's. The 90's, where they won 3 titles. Guess what? They didnt win any in the 80's, only 2 in the 70's, and 3 in the 60's. Thats 9 total. 4 of those nine, where high payroll teams.

But the average basball fan doesnt know this. Because they are average. Just like everyother Yankee hater who's only argument is that they buy championships.

Love them or hate them, without the Yankees, baseball would be a dead sport.

Baseball seemed fine the last 9 years that the yanks couldn't buy a championship.

Apparently I'm not the only one to know the Yanks buy rings. Congrats Taps, you won ... but you guys spend the most and therefore have the biggest advantage by far. Its funny that it took them this long to get #27 spending $200 million every year actually. Get over it.

You can piss and moan all you want that its not the money ... but you know it is.
