I'd rather he just stay at lightweight, but if Edgar (two losses, never fought at 145), Pettis (never fought at 145), Sonnen (loss, no recent 205 history), Diaz (loss), and Belfort (was fighting at 185) can get title shots, why not Bendo? More deserving than any of them, at least he's a champion on a good winning streak. Would be no different than BJ/GSP 2.
Except BJ was a former WW champ and his first fight vs GSP was close.
