So despite aldo's camp saying pettis doesn't deserve the fight with Aldo, and now all of a sudden Aldo is all in.
Chromedome used the excuse that pettis is no.1 at his weight, so naturally he would be no.1 contender at Aldo's weight and deserve a title fight immediately.
What a load of bollocks, Dana sprouts some **** doesn't he? Does that mean if Jones goes up a weight, he will automatically fight for the Heavyweight belt? Does that even make marketing sense? Your champ flits between two weight classes holding both belts, while everyone else in those classes has to wait around for him to decide which weight he defends his belt at?
Let Pettis come into his weight class and take out some of the other REAL contenders first, don't break out a new Zuffa rule each time you spit your dummy out when a fighter has an opinion...
TnT on the Truth
If Aldo wins, he earns an immediate title shot at 155. I think that had something to do with him accepting the fight.
This couldnt of been posted in the other Aldo/Pettis threads?
Of course Bones could get an immediate shot at the HW belt if he wanted, why would that be so far out of the realm of possibility? Who's clamoring for Velasquez/Bigfoot 2? The last thing we need is Pettis knocking off the very few contenders there are at 145 right now.
It's called mo cash. It's been shown in history to work rather well.

I'm sure Aldo doesn't really care about the rest of the fighters in his division (he didn't when he fought Edgar) and was probably looking for more money and a better deal to take the Pettis fight,
The Pettis fight probably does double the buys that a fight with Lamas would bring in, so more money in his pocket and if he beats him he will be in an even bigger fight, a genuine super fight against the LW champion, who will be coming off a big fight on Fox.
