Regards to thread, a friend got caught in a pinch and needs to unload some of his toys. Unfortunately,
everyone I know said the same thing Vale did. The thing is, I can get it for cheap and with patience
probably make some decent money out of it.

In my business, when I see recent boat purchase, it is a typical precursor to bankruptcy. Not Always! But definitely a pattern there. Time on the water is always fun. Just something else to do when Summer roles around. Would I buy one? No.
My Dad had a boat in Florida for several years. Every single time he went down to Florida and used the boat there was always some type of repair that needed to be done that cost about $400-$500 a pop. I don't think the salt water helped even though the boat was dry docked when not in use.
Storing it would likely be your most fruitless expense unless you are going to dock it somewhere or you have ample parking area at your home. When we had the travel trailer it was about 50 bucks a month to store it out in the middle of nowhere in a partially covered area. I dont know where you live but the cost of storing is something to consider. And I highly recommend going with a fully enclosed storage type place.

Here's one of the coolest places I been in a boat. Party Cove at Lake of the Ozarks here in Missouri. You tie your boat to other boats and party on. You can walk from one boat to the next...everyone drinking, some boats have DJ's and hell of bitchez everywhere...Last time I was there a group of us rented a nice yacht with a downstairs cabin, bed and full bathroom. Big pimpin for a a couple of days.
