Have fun looking for toward APRIL
Yah I know...very early for this, but watching the Senior Bowl got me motivated. So post all 7 rounds of your teams draft (you can estimate order if you want to for spots not decided yet) and why/who for each round. I'll get it started:
Pittsburgh Steelers
All my draft picks are predicated on our salary cap situation and the steps I believe the Steelers are going to take to get under it. To begin with I believe James Harrison and Casey Hampton will be cut, Wallace will FA out, and Plaxico gets resigned for veteran minimum. All those moves (along with doing with Big Ben same they did last year converting his salary to signing bonus which gets rid nearly all of his cap hit for the next year) will get the Steelers under the estimated cap for next year (120.9M as of latest Google search) to sign the following people:
Round 1 Pick 17: (S) Kenny Vaccaro Texas - not the fastest guy (estimated 4.57/40 time right now), and has some skills to learn still, but the guy hits like a truck and can also match up against he current spread offense vogue going on in the NFL. As we all know, it is almost a given that Troy will be injured at some point this upcoming year and Mundy is not the answer coming in.
Round 2 Pick 50: (T) Dallas Thomas Tennessee - 6'5" 308 lbs goad grater tackle. Don't think I need to explain this pick with the Steelers O-line issues. I also think that the Steelers are going to cut Willie Colon, so the pick makes sense to get younger (even more so) and get some help for Ben from getting blasted.
Round 3 Pick 81: (OLB) Chase Thomas Stanford - Prototypical LB that the Steelers grow each year. Stanford's front 7 were one of the best and Chase was a big piece in that equation. Since Harrison is going bye bye and Spencer may/may not be able to slide in this is a great pick to groom for the OLB spot..and get younger/faster.
Round 4 Pck 114: (RB) Andre Ellington Clemson - A 4.4 burner who could fill the "Sproles" spot for the Steelers that was recently...uh..."vacated"....by Rainey. Possible PR option here also...
Round 5 Pick 145: (QB) Brad Sorenson Southern Utah - 6' 4' 230 passer with mobility who will be the live arm that can fill in WHEN Ben gets injured. No Batch, No Leftwich (two more cuts I think really need to happen by the way) to come in and gimp around while collecting paychecks for little to no return. Nope...lets get a young buck in there who can watch/learn watching Ben and fill in as needed and actually be able to throw a deep pass down the field
Round 6 Pick 178 (CB) B.W. Webb William & Mary Speedy cover corner with 4.4 speed - yet another option against the spread offense vogue in the league who could be really valuable if Keenan Lewis decides to leave (salary cap 50/50 issue). Either way the Steelers need to keep that secondary young and speedy
Round 7 Pick 209 (DE) David Bass Missouri Western St. 6'4" 263lb pass rushing specialist who had 39 sacks in 56 games. Only question here is level of competition since this guy went against Division II talent, but would be a good fit in LeBeau's blitz happy scheme.
Overall this fills a lot of needs, gets the Steelers younger/more depth at key positions and reduces the salary cap strain the Steelers currently operate under. Odds are likely only 1 or 2 guys at most will end up as starters (just like in every teams draft), but the idea is to start jettisoning some of the older vets who aren't on the field much anyways and get some lively younger legs out there who just may pan out.
So there is my draft outline and why...let's hear yours!

How could you believe that the life within the seed
That grew arms that reached
And a heart that beat.
And lips that smiled
And eyes that cried.
Could ever die?
80s music... real talk.
Get Flynn from the Seachickens, draft Joeckel, most the other pieces are already in place. KC isn't that far off from being really tough to beat. Seattle has to be thinking about getting Flynn's contract off their hands already, much like the 49ers will be jettisoning Alex Smith's. In today's flat cap era having a back up who is making that much money does not help your team out trying to beef up other areas on the squad.
Bottom line is if KC can get Flynn from Seattle for a draft pick it would be a steal.

there isnt a clear cut #1 QB this year Geno is good but not a #1 pick that a coach would want to tie his future to you cang et him late first round or early 2nd for much better value or any other QB for that matter and have a franchise LT in Joeckel or even a Eric Fisher by trading back in the draft and getting him and getting more picks from a over reaching team for a QB or a LT position. Joeckel is good but so is Fisher both are franchise LT's i would trade back and hope for fisher and get more draft picks.

Bengals with $55M available...and even more scary in my opinion is the Colts with $46M....and lmfao at the Jets...
