Drum Solos

I'm not a fan of heavy metal but I've seen some sick ass Joey Jordinson(sp? Slipknot drummer) solos. Also like a lot of Mike Portnoy's(Dream Theater) solos, but I'm not sure if it's because he is really good or because he has like a 74 piece drum set haha.

One of my best friends in high school is/was a drummer. He was playing in a band at 15. Wasnt even old enough to play in bars, but he was. He was awesome. He quit to go into the family biz. I would go to his place in high school, smoke up, and just listen to him wale on the drums....good memories

my friend at work, his 14 year old son is all about jazz drums. There's this "jazz district" here in KC. Full of old school black jazz guys. Amazing to see this white kid get on stage on jam nights and hold his own with these old school cats.

for theatrical purpose alone Tommy Lee needs to be mentioned for the upside down drum solo.

also i saw Jordison's solo live where they angled him so the crowd got a top view which was pretty cool.
