I was holding out hope for a move to Kansas City, but that is what is best for the team and the league. I feel sorry for the Sacramento fans. They were one of the best fan bases in the NBA from 1999 to 2004. Really happy for the Seatle fans. It is still not the same as getting to see Durant for the next 10 years, but it is great for that city to have a team again.

Yup - supposedly the Microsoft CEO and someone else bought them for half a billion and they will be on their way to Seattle. All but a done deal. What must suck for the Maloof's is that of that 500 million they still owe 77 million to the city of Sacramento for loans they haven't paid yet. So after taxes for the sale and that 77 million I don't think ( in relative rich man terms on that scale) they came out too far ahead...

On a sidenote it was also mentioned that the Maloof's may retain part of their stake in the team, but knowing the guy who bought the team (and his other investors) that stake isn't too much...
