As much as we appreciate the Nucks love, your predictions are a little optimistic for me. Kesler is out for who knows how long, we have no real third line either, and the goalie situation is still unsettled. I'll be happy if they just compete in the west.

What has Toronto done that makes it all of a sudden a playoff team? Pick up JVR?

They will pick up Luongo here shortly which will be enough to get them into the playoffs. Plus what Sox said...It's a short season. I think we are going to see some weird playoff seedings this year because of it.

I don't really have any predictions at this point. I'm still trying to remember all the big moves that have happened and who is on who's team lol.

I think Schneider is the real deal though, and in a shortened season I believe the Canucks won't run out of steam and will have a fresh Kesler for the playoffs after he returns end of February.

Soooooooooooo, Vancouver over Pittsburgh in 6!

Blah. I feel weird about this season. Not sure how I am going to react when I watch the first Canucks game. Normally i'm insanely pumped for that first puck drop. I'm sure that feeling will come back fast for me though.

Winnipeg & Detroit could be in for a tough ride as the schedule will see them only play teams within their own conference, so every road game for both of those 2 teams will be a far distance. Detroit will never get the east coast road trip and Winnipeg won't be getting the Central/West Coast road trip.

Really interested in seeing how the shortened schedule messes with things. If you look at the last 2 seasons for the Leafs they played well for 1 half of the season and abysmal for the other half, so they have the potential to be a playoff team and the potential to be last place. I feel like they have the biggest swing on where they could land.

Canucks need another center and will probably get it when Toronto trades every player of value to them for Lou.

I've read rumours online that Philly is interested in Luongo.
