No amount of money makes up for the public exposure and increased name recognition from competing in the best league. What a fighter does with that could be worth millions in or out of fighting.

As much as I LOVE the tourney format of Bellator, they are not in the same league as the UFC.

Between Gil and Alvarez, I wonder which is more likely to be top5 at 155? I am pretty sure neither would have a shot at stripping Bendo of the belt right now.

    Gil is top 5

Eddie takes too many risks to be to be top 5, well not that he cant but its much more difficult for him

Funny thing is I'd probably put money on eddie over gil though
Thats why mma is awesome I guess ha

Gil hasn't done much to show that he's top 5, he just lost to Thomson not that long ago and hasn't really looked that great in his last few fights IMO. Just kinda on cruise control.

Eddie lost to a new booty in Chandler and he is expected to go to the top in the UFC and challenge Benson?

    You sure bout that?

    Match this Bellator!

UFC has an fight offer on the table for Alvaez to co-main event the April 29th PPV event in NJ.

Alavez' team is presenting this to a judge, hoping the judge will allow him to sign the bout agreement.

And Sports Illustrated is saying the contract wording has been changed so Eddie would indeed get a ppv cut for that show. That will make it much harder for Bellator to claim the offers are equal.

Which would be huge, because Bellator said that UFC PPV bonuses were only hypothetical because the UFC could choose to book Alvarez on only FUEL TV cards.

Now Alvarez can point to this bout agreement, along with Jones' and Chael's PPV headlining draw history, and show how much Alvarez will potentially make on this card.

This might be the trump card that Alvarez' lawyers need to make Bellator back down.

I think Bellator needs to realize what they are and that's a stepping stone to the big show. Let a guy that helped your company gain some legitmacy step up to the lime light now. They are just holding Eddie back.
