I bought into the Joe Riggs hype. When he first dropped to 170 I thought he had a great shot to beat Hughes. Then I said there was no way Diego could compete with Riggs. Riggs has dropped off the face of the earth. Man my face is still red about those picks.

    Unfortunately, yes.

Keep in mind that one of the fights between the first one was Anderson against Lutter. Lutter came in overweight and was out of shape, but managed to get Silva down relatively easy. Anderson pulled off the sub from his back, but didn't look all that convincing against Lutter.

I figured if Rich was smart, he wouldn't stand with him and Rich's cardio and work from top position could see him get the win. Rich should have used my game plan. His face would thank me.

Forrest/Shogun and Forrest/Rampage back to back killed me.

    Penn vs. Hughes II

    GSP vs. Serra I

I wasn't that surprised with either of the CC losses. I didn't call them, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Randelman, and always thought CC was slightly overrated coming out of the OWGP. The way he loss to Gonzaga though surprised the heck out of me.

    Yeah, it was Tony.

As to this thread... too many times to count. Pretty all of what has been mentioned. This is why I don't gamble....
Probably nothing has done so much harm to the liberal cause as the wooden insistence of some liberals on certain rules of thumb, above all the principle of laissez faire.

Here is some perspective of how big an upset it was.

    Cro Cop
Mirko Cro Cop was 22-4-2 with 19 finishes (16 KOs, 3 Subs)

He had just won the 2006 Pride Openweight GP by Knocking out former Pride MW Champ Wanderlei Silva (31-5-1 at the time) and Former UFC HW Champ Josh Barnett (22-3 at the time) in one night.

In 28 fights before the Gonzaga fight, Cro Cop was knocked out only one time.
    vs

    Gabe Gonzaga
Gabriel Gonzaga was 7-1 with just two wins by (T)KO against a 0-2 UFC Fighter, Kevin Jordan and a 0-1 UFC Fighter Fabiano Scherner.

Napao's biggest win was against Carmelo Marrero who went 1-3 in the UFC.

Mirko Cro Cop was a (-500) favorite in the fight.

Mistmatches with a similar or higher betting favorite in recent PPVs

UFC 153 - Anderson Silva (-1000) over Stephen Bonnar
UFC 152 - Jon Jones (-840) over Vitor Belfort
UFC 150 - Nik Lentz (-500) over Eiji Mitsuoka
UFC 149 - Chad Mendes (-710) over Cody MacKenzie
UFC 146 - Junior Dos Santos (-475) over Frank Mir
UFC 146 - Jamie Varner over Edson Barboza (-540)
UFC 145 - Eddie Yagin over Mark Hominick (-600)
UFC 145 - Rory MacDonald (-500) over Che Mills
UFC 144 - Tim Boetsch over Yushin Okami (-450)

According to Tapology Rankings of the Biggest Upsets in MMA history, Napao beating Cro Cop is #3, with Serra vs GSP 1 and Fedor vs Werdum #1 and 2.
