Obama stole the election

If it was just so common that people didn't like him, why was the election so close? Forget electoral stuff, look at counted votes. What's the difference? A few percentage points? Big cities voted for Obama but look at each state with the county and how they voted. It's red as all hell. About half of the people liked Romney it seemed.

That doesn't look like people didn't relate to or like him. The cities, and inner cities especially (I'd assume) were all about Obama. Every other place looks red to me.

Those places are not as populated as most of the cities in the blue. I see what you are saying but the general consensus that I picked up on was that the guy was just not really liked much. Then again, I can fully admit to living in somewhat of a bubble.

Seemed like even the hardcore republicans were not overly enthused about the guy.

Republicans, hardcore and otherwise, were less than enthused about the entire field. During the primaries we saw half-a-dozen lead changes and unconventional front-runners like Herman Cain enjoy weeks at the top before his little scandal broke. Then it was Newt. Then it was Perry. Then it was Paul. Then it was Romney. It's like speed dating. At the end of it all, they just didn't want to get pulled into an irreversable socialist sink hole and somewhat unified behind the most presidential-looking guy, but enthusiasm? No. Not even close.

We have issues with voter fraud in Canada on the federal level, but no one seems to care... Even with our strangle hold on media, academia and the minds of youth, Canadian leftist can't get people to care about obvious cases of voter fraud.

I actually liked Romney, and even though he is a Mormon (I dont care for religion) I didn't hold it against him. Nobody is perfect! I just think his campaign missed the mark. The high ground for Conservatives is the state of the economy, which should have been all the ammunition they needed. But, instead, they spend millions beating up an each other and undermining their own ideologies to secure the nominations.

got GW back in office cause he was someone they can have a beer with.

This is spot-on. I've noticed this here, too. Voter fraud is clearly happening, possibly on a significant scale, and we even have video evidence of it, but . . . nobody gives a fuck. During some of the pre-election coverage they were talking about a national poll being 49% to 51% and joked that that was within the margin of corruption; and eveybody got a good chuckle.

Also, yes, the primairy got the eventual nominee, whoever it turned out to be, so far behind in terms of preperation, organization, funding, energy, and focus that Romney's climb back to, at one point (two weeks out), a 4% lead in many polls is actually quite astonishing and impressive.

How is growing up in Hawaii and attending Harvard Law and being a professor and a community activist your entire life not of priviledge? His entire life has been an open door to elietism and fast-tracked to political power and adoration.

What people have in common with Romney is a fear that the role and size of government is growing out of control and that things like debt and taxes and centralized economic controls are a bad idea. Romney ran the Olympics. He pulled Burger King and Staples and dozens of other successful companies out of the gutter. He made a shjt load of money because he's really good at financial risk/reward management. I'd like to see a guy like that take a crack at the economy for 4 years.
