What would happen if I walked into a training facility wearing a black belt? Would I be challenged by everyone? What if I said I didn't feel like rolling with them? Or demonstrating any moves whatsoever, that I just wanted to practice my kickboxing on the heavy bag?

I hear you, Toe, but then it should be called sub-grappling or even catch wrestling. Look at Josh Barnett, he has trained extensively in catch but easily transitioned to BJJ. The crossover is there, no doubt.
I trained for a bit with Rodrigo Gracie and also with Babs, one of Fabio Clemente's top students, ocassionally at the same time. Both trained and taught primarily in a gi, but also did some no-gi stuff as well. Babs was sick with his jits, dude was nasty. He was teaching in the same spot that I was teaching an MMA evolved version of karate. We all exchanged techniques on the regular. I wore a gi in my dojo so when I trained with them I did so in a karate gi. They didn't like that because its a rougher material, would be much rougher on their hands, specifically their knuckles, when they grabbed the gi. Babs would toy with me when we rolled and I'm MUCH bigger than him, but he would NEVER spar with me in striking. He also had trouble taking me down.
I miss those days, unfortunately they didn't last long enough.
Ok I have one question to pose. If I sign up to compete in say NAGA I can't compete as a wight belt in GI BJJ because I have to much grappling experience. Even though I have never taken a class in a GI. I have however been sub-grappling for 7 years so I therefore cannot compete as a white belt per their rules. If I go to a legit BJJ school they will make me start from white belt and rank up as per their rules. So my question is how is this fair? I am a legit white belt in GI BJJ and have never taken a legit BJJ class, yet I have been grappling for years. I have won MMA fights and sub-grappling matches all in shorts. I actually do have black shorts with a white belt (reverse BJ Penn style) that I wear to fight in.
Ju-Jitsu has given me a better life. You should try the same.
Everybody know my gamey. Everytimey. I go for knockouty or submission.
Thank you for my fuzz.
