One thing I have a hard time with though is both of the guys they added have either had or have serious back issues. If any of the 4 stars go down I have a hard time believing their horrid role players can hold up their end for any significant period of time. One thing that never fails in the NBA is the accumulation of minutes played results in injuries.

One thing I have to laugh at is how a lot of people are sleeping on how much this improves Denver. Yes that is my team, but going from Afflalo who has regressed defensively the last 2 years (mainly due to taken a larger role on offense) to AI9 who is without a doubt one of the premier defensive wing players in the NBA is a lot bigger than people think. Denver was 19th in defensive efficiency last year and are adding 2 players that many consider above average defenders in AI9 and Wilson Chandler.

Denver is going to run a rotation of Lawson, AI9, Gallo, Faried, McGee, Miller, Hamilton, Chandler, Brewer, Mozgov, and maybe Fournier and Anthony Randolph. That lineup is the most athletic in the league and in Karl's system they will use that to play even faster than last year when they were 2nd in pace. Add in the altitude and Denver will once again be a very tough team to beat at home.

The key to Denver's season will be how well they come out of the gate with all those road games early. If they can all get on the same page quickly I see no reason outside of injuries to key players that they won't compete for a top 4 seed in the West.

It might take longer than one would want to get on the same page as the team has changed 14 of 15 roster spots in a year and a half, but I think their style of play makes that transition much faster.

You guys can talk all the **** you want, you all know that Denver will be a team that you (probably secretly) will watch a bunch over this season.
You keep forgetting Fishy that your team still doesn't have a true superstar to finish games for you. You have a bunch of average to above average guys who will get you around a .500 record and maybe a 6-8 seed spot and then will get folded up in the playoffs. The Lakers are definitely better than your squad, the Thunder are, and the Mavs with the moves they made are. Spurs still better even with that age because Pop manages minutes like nobodies business. Quite honestly just prepare yourself for yet another failed year. And oh yah...your coach is average to slightly above average too. Just a forgettable team really....

LOL, nice analysis there even though you won't find any decent NBA writer or blogger that agrees with it. If they stay relatively healthy they are a 50+ win team.

There will be a battle for the 3-6 seeds out West between Denver, Clippers, Memphis, and Spurs. LOL at the Mavs being as good as Denver, they missed on every player they went after this offseason, lost Kidd & Terry who were the reason they were hard to defend because of their 3 point shooting. They still have Dirk so they won't be terrible, but they will be lucky to finish above 7th in the West.

So picking up Elton isn't going to help them? Really? And no matter what...the Mavs with Dirk and "missing on everyone" as you put it are STILL better than that team of no stars your Nibblets have going. Like I said...a bunch of average to good players...but nobody special. Enjoy yet another year of fail at the championship level.

Have you ever watched Andre Iguodala play? He's the best wing defender in the league not named LeBron James and his assist rate was #1 in the league for a non PG. He is elite at finishing at the rim and in Denver's system he will actually get to use that skill.

I find it hilarious that despite me providing facts you still think your opinion is fact, when you offer no actual fact based analysis just your opinion that if you play for the Denver Nuggets you have no chance at being anything but a good player.

Stating that the 3rd or 4th best player on last year's 76ers will help Dallas and Denver getting the best player off that team but he won't help Denver is the kind of nonsense I am talking about.

I've provided stats numerous times debunking your theory that Denver is bad late in games because they don't have a "star", they were one of the best teams in the entire NBA last year in the final 2 minutes offensively, but apparently actual facts are trumped by your theory.

Let's see you trump your way out of this fact:

    0

    As in....

    # of championships Denver has...

Now my opinion based off that fact: Your team isn't winning one this year either. Take a bunch of average to good guys and throw them against true superstars...9/10 they lose. Sucks to be you...

29 teams won't win the Championship this year, that's a fact.

Hilarious how you go from the Nuggets will be 6-8th in the West to they won't win a title this year.
