The Zenit-Benfica game was great. ****ty keeping/defending, but great back and forth game with a lot of excitement at the end. I'm pumped for this Arsenal game, RvP is about to tear through the knockout stage.

Missed the Boateng goal, heard it was good. Just found a good stream finally on the library internet, stupid college always getting in the way of good soccer.
Really hoping van Persie can put one or two in today
Yeah the Boateng goal was really nice. Arsenal has looked like ****e today, haven't been able to do anything and made tons of mistakes.
Underdog Challenge V Champion
This is the worst Arsenal team Since the early '90s. Apart from Van Persie there are no great players, the midfield is lacking creativity and doesn't protect the defence. RVP ends up isolated and he can't do it all on his own, the defence has been vulnerable for years and the team struggles to adapt during games if it isn't working out.
This Milan side is pretty good though (probably 3rd favourites in the CL along with Bayern Munich), solid defence, Thiago Silva seems to be always improving and Nesta is a great veteran to come back in. They have a lot of attacking talent with Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Pato. However, I think they lack the speed and dynamism in the midfield to compete with Barca or Madrid in a knockout game. Barca and Madrid are definitely the strongest 2 teams in the competition and there is a HUGE drop off after those 2.
The current La Liga standings would tell you differently, but there's a HUGE drop off from Barca to Madrid. I honestly think Bayern is the 2nd best team in CL and really hope that they can pull it out. I may be biased because I love Bayern, but I just really think they have a better team than Madrid, they just need to be able to field their best squad when it counts. It seems like there's always an injury or something nagging either Schweini or Robben, although recently they've just straight up benched Robben.

Madrid have been the better team the last 2 El Classicos, they have just been unlucky. Milan looked great, they are the dark horses to win it, I can see Chelsea beating Napoli next week but they wont get much further, they are struggling in their league.

I'm not sure of the whole bracket but I would say that B. Munich and Madrid are the top two teams in UCL now

Chelsea were poor and I see Napoli picking them off at Stamford Bridge as counter attacking is what they are great at.

Yeah, my friend who is an annoying Chelsea fan still refuses to believe they are heading out! Using nothing more than hope and ignorance, she has boldly predicted that Chelsea will "have enough" to beat Napoli at the Bridge even though, as you say, Napoli can be deadly on the counter!
