un****ing real the Wolves lost to the Knicks...Were beating them the entire game until Novak hit that huge 3...I got to really analyze Lin's game for the first time...He's definitely good, but i do see a few loose ends as far as his decision making at various times and shot selection...The Wolves did a great job on him in the second half...Maybe it was fatigue, but I'm looking forward to see him match up with the Bulls and Heat...He was taking a pounding tonight and they had to basically scrape him off the floor..I'm interested to see if he can take the pounding over the long hall the way he plays the game

I watched the game at the casino while playing poker and I agree with your analysis - he is going to take a beating and I don't see him lasting even in this shortened season. One other thing I will be curious about - what happens when the Carmelo "Black Hole" Anthony comes back and demands his 25+ shots per game...is Lin going to okay with that or is there going to be an ego match when they both want the ball...not to mention Stoudamire in that mix. As Murph was saying...they were peeling that kid off the ground in the second half and he only shot 1-12 I believe in the second half.

So he is on a great run right now...but he is also the freshest set of legs on the floor for the past week. The NBA schedule is a grinder....and I don't think he is going to make it.

The kid was placed in the spot light literally a few days ago. From complete nobody to the most talked about player in the league in less than a week. Then his big spotlight game is on ESPN against the Lakers at MSG? Who the hell has EVER been in a position like that? Physically, emotionally, and mentally that had to be exhausting for him. Nobody could realistically expect him to come back the following day and play outstanding.

Also, Im not comparing him to Lebron at all, but I do remember when he played his first back-to-back he wasn't nearly as effective in game 2. Then, when asked about it afterwards he said it was tough and he didn't have any energy. I'd assume most rookie's from a statistical standpoint play way worse on back-to-backs than any other players. Its just something they need to get used to.

From what I gather, he plays much more like a DRose or Westbrook as opposed to other point guards...Only problem is he doesn't have the body to take the pounding that those two have...I just don't know how effective he's going to be playing like that...Maybe Melo and Amare help him out, but who knows if his game changes for the worst because of it

Yah...Rose physically is much stronger and he is already getting all the minor injuries and some back ones (spasms as of right now). I mentioned it last year with Rose that his constant attack on the rim would lead to this and Lin will be no different. Its one thing to drive in when you need a clutch bucket/free throws...quite another charging in time after time in this league....outside of Lebron and a few others there aren't the physical specimens who can sustain that kind of damage night in/night out. Once Lin's legs get wore down to where he is on the same level as everyone else you will see his stats dip and then the durability question will be answered.

On a different note - Kevin Martin..please just go away. Held to zero....count'em ZERO points last night against the Grizzlies. Maybe if you didn't rely so much on soft jumpers with no attacking of the rim while not playing defense you would be worthy of that contract you have but right now you are the anchor on this ship. I really hope the Rockets find a way to dump you and your overblown contract. Maybe you can end up on the Hawks playing with McLazy...you are both the same player...just he's taller than you. Allen for the Grizzlies takes you out of your comfort zone and you respond with....nothing? **** off. McHale...you are doing a decent job this year without a lot of talent...get rid of KMart....ASAP. Sheesh...

I'll take him...Exactly what my team needs..You can have your pick of the roster except Love, Rubio and Pekovic

Lin is for real, and having Amare back and with Carmello hopefully on his way soon will only help him. he has to cut down on his turnovers, but his basketball IQ is ridiculous, he sees the court so well and makes mostly really good decisions. when Camello is back, they won't be able to put multiple defenders on him and harass him so much, which should help to lower the turnovers.

i think he is for real. Now, I doubt he ends up averaging 27 points, 8.5 assists and 2 steals for a season, those are MVP numbers, but can see him putting up in the low 20s while keeping his assists and steals in line, or maybe even increasing the assits with Carmello back and less defensive pressure on him.

it really is the best story in sports now. Its crazy, the chances of him doing this were pretty much impossible based on two fronts. first, Harvard has literally produced more Presidents of the US then NBA players, and I also believe he is eiter the first or second ever Chinese American player in NBA history. I think both of his parents are like 5'7 too, so his height is strange too
