Kevin Love deal done...4 years 60 Mil or so with an opt out after year 3, or the ability to sign a 2 year extension at that point...Good for both sides, gives the team some cap flexibility and to see how the team is progressing at that point

Great deal all around if those are the numbers. Love is a different type of player. He is not a number one player because he is an undersized 4 that isn't great on defense and doesn't create his own shot consistently, but his rebounding, hustle and shooting ability makes him a quality building block and could definitely be the second best player on a title team. I still think the Wolves are a true scoring star and a good defenisive presence in the middle away from being a real contender, but you have to like what they have in Love and Rubio.

Deal is done 4 years $42 million. Absolute STEAL.

I don't know about steal, but it is a solid deal, and Gallo has a great chance to grow into that.

I agree, they are a two guard and center away...I think everyone on the team is expendable except Rubio and Love, including Derrick Williams, so I hope they can work out a deal to acquire one of those type of players by the break

Oh it's a steal. Look around the league and see which players have similar deals. Bargani is no where near as good as Gallo, not even in the same discussion.

Also just literally found out that Gallo is actually left handed. Kid has so much room to grow it's not even funny. You can dismiss it as a "grow into deal", but he will sustain (actually improve) on his numbers this year and that would put him as the 35th rated player according to PER. He will make $42 million over the next 4 years, Melo will make 67 over the next 3. Team has more cap room to add pieces and he will out preform this deal by a mile.

I don't get how a team can lead the league in assists and scoring and still get comments like "oh they are built for this short season". The only difference between Denver and everybody else is Denver's top 7 (will be top 8 when Wilson returns) is just better than anybody elses. Those 8 players would be in every other team in the league's rotation. People act like Denver has 12 guys that should be in a playoff rotation, that is false. They have 7 soon to be 8 guys that would be in any playoff rotation and 4 to 5 guys that are good for minutes during a regular season NBA game.

Those 7 players are Nene, Lawson, Afflalo, Gallo, Miller, Harrington, Chandler, and the only one that I should hav left out of the above rant is Mozgov, but Mozzy is improving.

Because they don't have a single player that would normally make an All-Star team or be a number one player on any team. It is that simple. Gallo could eventually make an All-Star team, and Lawson is an absolute stud, but every guy is good to very good. None of them are great. In the playoffs, the great players play more minutes, so the boost the Nuggets get from having so many very good players is reduced a bit. Until they can prove they can overcome that, that is how they will be viewed.

The difference between this Nuggets team and last year's Nuggets team is they are built better. Felton is an ok player, but Andre Miller is simply better. Al Harrington last year was terrible, like really bad, because he was dealing with foot injuries and he couldn't get in shape. This year Harrington is playing great, almost as good as he did in Indy when they were a legit team. No JR to shoot you out of a game this year, instead they have Rudy and Brewer who fit the concept of passing the basketball to find the best shot, also both are far and away better defenders than JR. I actually really like Kenyon, but I'd rather allow Nene to play a little at the PF spot and have actual size, even if right now it's limited in skill. Chandler will be back and I'm sure with the way he has played in China his confidence will be high, worse case is somebody offers him something we don't match and we pull a sign and trade and get some kind of asset.

Also I didn't realize in your 1st year as a starting PG in the NBA that 16 and 7 isn't great.

It is great for a young player. It doesn't make you great in the larger scheme of great players in the league.

Rockets win 7 in a row..then drop to the Bucks? Bleh. Bad loss. Relying too much on outside shooting while shooting 25% from the land of three is not a good idea. Hopefully put this one behind us and start the W's again.
