    Default 2011-2012 NBA Discussion thread

Here we go, a shortened season, but I'm very excited, especially for Christmas Day...The preseason is in full swing and Kyrie Irving looked excellent in his debut...Tomorrow is a triple header on NBA TV including: Knicks/Nets, Spurs/Rockets, Kings/Warriors

So glad that trade didn't go through with the Hornets/Lakers/Rockets. I don't want some Laker/Euro retread on my squad who on his own is not really good. The flip side of the coin for this shortened season is that with the squad my Rockets have it'll be another year of battling for an 8 seed with a lot of offense and little to no defense. Ah well...gonna enjoy it anyways.

the Trailblazers are going to be excellent this year IMO.

i think they end the season with a better record than the Lakers, Mavs and Clippers.

Possibly could happen... I am really interested in seeing what is going to happen to the Mavs who lost their toughness when Chandler went to NY. Lamar Odom is a head case on his good days and no way does he do the little stuff that Chandler did. As for the Lakers...I don't think they are done with their moves yet. Somehow I think they are going to put something together for Dwight even though everyone is saying Dwight is never/ever going anywhere. As for the Clippers...I don't know...that franchise is cursed. But as the Saints have proven...some curses can be beat.

I watched the game tonight..He's got plenty that he can improve upon, but his passing skills are undeniable..He also has good hands on defense

The Rockets played Saturday (I didn't watch the game) and won 101-87 over the Spurs...without Duncan or Parker. Looking at the box score isn't pretty - other than Scola shooting 75% for 20 pts and our center Jordan Hill having 17pts/13rebs I see 20 turnovers, 36 personal fouls, and a whopping 3-20 from the 3 pt line. Ugh. Free throw shooting was at 67 percent and the overall shooting was around 47%.

Going to be a long year in Houston - come on 8 seed!

I like the Blazers to have a good season and possibly make the 2nd round of the playoffs, but I need to know what is going on with LaMarcus Aldridge's heart. I know they said they don't expect it to be serious, but the last time he had a similar procedure he missed the last nine games of a season. A stretch like that could be disastrous in a shortened season.

I like Rubio a lot and have been trying to follow him since I first heard about him 4 years ago. If he learns how to shoot the guy can be great, but he is going to have to put in a lot of work. I think Adelman will get the best out of him. The Wolves will be interesting to watch if nothing else.

The biggest question is still where and when will Dright Howard get traded. Dwight is a total speciman physically, but I don't know if he wants it enough. We will see in his next stop.

The clippers r goin to be a really good team this year. They have 4 all stars on their starting lineup. Cp3', bill ups, Caron butler, and Blake griffin.

They r going to be better than the lakers this year. Sad.
