    Default Advice on fat burn?

Need to shed a few pounds , i seem to be doing a lot of running with no results , nothing drastic but steady pace , have started doing less distance and more sprinting shuttles etc , along with that , what else helps your explosivness AND helps shed pounds that a man can do , on his own ?

I am just shy of 6ft and come in at 16 st 4 lbs (about 104KG to you guys) but my only excess is round the old stomach area , everywhere else is in good proportion....but i know at that weight and height , i must be carrying weight that isnt good

I do a reguar weights session 3 x times a week , and 2 runs a week , again , nothing ground breaking but decent enough , and once a week at the boxing

ideas welcome to lose weight....also , while i`m here , any one know some good lower back strengthening excerices ?

    Cheers

Diet is all I can think of. Meaning cut back on your carbs and sugars. That should do the trick.

Squats, dead lifts, rows, etc. Throw in some good compound lifts and you should get there and strengthen the lower back. Details are often in the diet though.

Absolutely...as opposed to what? Smith machine? Google squat variations and you should get an idea just how diverse they can be. Maybe find some explosive plyometric drills to do at home also. It would help for us to know what your 3x a week weight sessions are looking like. Also, I'm American and don't do cocaine....so I don't understand stones or kilos....what is your weight in good ol' merikan pounds?

How long have you been doing this routine, and have you pretty much been doing the exact same routine?

Definitely could use to switch it up....shock your body a bit...confusion.

I'm trying to lose a little weight too, but isn't it pretty much true that it really doesn't matter what you eat so long as your burn more calories than you consume or at the very least have a caloric deficit in terms of whatever your caloric intake should be for your height, age etc??

I mean, there was that guy who had the "twinkie diet" and he STILL lost like almost 20lbs or something just because he burned more than he consumed and I think he was a scientist of some kind trying to prove the point that it really doesn't matter what you eat when trying to lose weight.

I have myself been having some trouble and haven't lose any weight even though I've been using calorie counter on my Iphone and it says that if I consume no more than 1,800 NET calories a day (meaning AFTER excercise...I'm only 5'8 btw) that I should lose 1 1/2 pounds a week but I have been doing it for 3 weeks now and not lost ANY weight at all.

Maybe it is cause I eat too many carbs and sugars, but I don't really think it should matter.

All evidence seems to point towards it not mattering...at least not in terms of weight loss (though it does in terms of health).

Not sure, just going of what I have experienced. I personally loose weight when I don’t consume enough throughout the day especially if I am training cardio 4 days a week and lifting 3. When I do gain I consume more but I stick with proteins and carbs that are good for me and stay away from the sweet ****.

Hell just cutting your normal 6 pack of beer out a week will let you see a change.
