Hell of a win. But, our rotation is **** right now. If Pettite doesnt come back in good form, we are in trouble. Pineda getting shut down again is bad news. Means we have to keep putting the ball in Gracia and Hughes hands every 4th and 5th day.

Bard gets thrown back into the pen last night? Im not unhappy about it because our bullpen is a total mess, but we still are still struggling to get consistent starting pitching. Not sure who is going to replace Bard? Bringing up journeyman Aaron Cook or getting Dice K back is NOT a solution, but that's what we are looking at. But, having Bard in the pen is necessary and we could really use another arm in the backend.

I think Bobby Valentine SUCKS. I didn't like that clown in the NL and think he's in over his head.

The Sox signing Cody Ross has been huge. He's really stepped up with Crawford and Ellsbury down and I like this guy going forward - totally reminds me of the hard nose type players in the Youk, Pedroia mold. And he is 50x better than JD Drew.

Please sign Oswalt! I want the Sox to sign him before the Yankees do it.

I couldnt see the Yanks wanting to sign Oswalt. Boss Jr. is pretty adamant about decreasing payroll over the next few years and he seems much more level headed then his father. Oswalt isnt looking to pitch until when? July? By then Pineda should be back and our rotation should be ok.

Was happy to see Aceves head to bean town when he did. Guy is not a closer and will never be.

I too like Cody Ross and am hoping he clears waivers and i am able to add him to my Fantasy Team.

Dont even get me started on Bobby V. The guy is a joke and always has been. The fire Tito because of what appears to be lack of control over the clubhouse, and they bring in this clown? Told all my Bosox friends they would regret that signing by June. Looks like Bobby is ahead of scheudle.

Ross helped my Giants win it all in '10, he will always be my guy. I don't think he's that much better than JD Drew though, who I hate. He's been damn good lately though. Oswalt is going to be a great signing for anyone.

WTF is wrong with Boston? Bobby V is a ****ing joke for sure but why did they hire him in the first place? IMO Francona should still be there. 2 WS victories in the last ten years after you hadn't won it for damn near 100 years earns a pass after one off year. Holy ****. you guys signed Crawford and A Gonzalez and missed the playoffs. That blows my mind. Your roster is stacked.

how are you a Chargers and a Sox fan? How the hell does that work?

My father was born and raised in Boston so it came natural. I went to spring training games in the 70s and met Yaz, Freddy Lynn, Rice, Cooper, Burleson, etc. We moved to San Diego from New York when I was young, and I started following the Chargers. My father wasn't a Pats fan so the Chargers fit as the local team. I never really got into the Padres other than following the local team, but I did always root for them in the terrible NL. Having directv for the last 10+ years has made things great as I can watch ever Sox game.

Agree Francona should still be there and not sure why they signed Valentine. Francona should get a lifetime appointment for helping bring a title to Boston but things have changed considerably with the loss of he and Epstein. The Sox don't have a lot of A level minor league talent right now so I don't know how they are going to rebuild this staff - but if the offense is healthy they are a potential wild card team. I don't see a WS team though.

Yankees don't need him but they might take him just to fck with the Sox. People are believing Dice K has something to offer but I wouldn't even let that guy start - he's done. People figured out his delivery and he is never going to be league average again.

Lester, Beckett and Oswalt would make Doubant and Buchholtz a lot easier to deal with, and let us put Dice K in the pen, leave Bard in the pen and hope we get Miller back my mid season. Now I am talking myself into a little hope!

Hope is all you have at your age. Spring Training in the 70's! Good lord. Had no idea you were that old. Must have been cool to see Jonny Pesky play though.

Yes, was 7 years old in 1978. But my age is why I am so wise!
