Jeter is a lock for the Hall but today's game has me wondering about Johnny Damon?

If he gets to 3000 hits, will he get in? Biggio has 3000 hits but is not eligible until 2012. Palmiero has 3000 but the steroid thing may cost him.

That leaves Jeter (lock to get in) and Pete Rose as the only others NOT in with 3000.

BTW you can keep your fancy new ballparks, Fenway is still the best place in the world to watch a baseball game.....you can't be closer to any field and the atmosphere can not be duplicated, it's playoff baseball 81 times per year.

Pleased at this slightly past the halfway point. A bit worried about Lester, Buckholtz and Lackey down the stretch but hopefully we get the two back healthy and Lackey can be serviceable. The bullpen is solid and our offense is great, and will improve. Crawford has been a big zero and Pedroia and Youk will get better. Adrian Gonzalez has proven to be a f'ing MONSTER like we knew he would and Ortiz and Ellsbury are playing well.

I think the Yankees will go overboard to get a pitcher pretty soon but if the Sox are healthy, we beat them anyway.

I read something about Kemp being a Red Sox in 2012 and that would be fantastic. We would still be about 5 billion behing the Yankee payroll so sign him!

The Yankeees got Spanked tonight. and I mean SPANKED. The bottom of the blue jays order is heating up to go along with one of the best top of the order lineups in baseball. I'm really excited for the second half of the season. To bad baustista got injured sliding into third. Hope its not serious

I do my best to see the silver lining in anything Sox related, but what he did in May is what we should expect. Look at his 2010 - May 2011 is his norm. He hasn't been running and has been the biggest disappointment in baseball. I do expect him to get back on track with a solid second half, but this isn't what we paid for. A sub .300 OBP? Even in May he was barely passing .300 in on base.

He needs to do a LOT more.

6 steals in 3 months and a handful of runs

biggest dissapoint he isnt even the biggest disspointment in his own clubhouse. lackey , drew , cameron , jenks all are equally dissapointing.

i think adam dunn is probably the most dissapointing . jake peavy , phil hughes , jeremy guthrie , brett cecil , austin jasckson , magglio ordonez , joakim soria , vernon wells , joe mauer , justin morneau , brian fuentes , ichiro, chone figgins are all guys ****ting the bed

Yeah, I guess you are right about Lackey and I can't stand Drew. Crawford is here for the long haul and will be a force.
