Default Do you know anyone famous?

It could be an athlete, artist, actor or even a local celebrity... in your neck of the woods.

I would think you have to be at least an acquaintence. Do you know anyone famous? A UFC fighter?

Me? Nopers. No one. Just good friends... none 'famous.'

i know many musicians though only .0003% of the board would consider them "famous".

Jasmine St Claire is probably the most notable number i have in my phone.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Even if you know someone famous in your neck of the woods. Cool. I might have known Jonathan Toews (Chicago Black Hawks) 'cause he's from Winnipeg, but I don't.

I'm pretty much in MattyD's position. I used to jam out with the dudes from Byzantine because I played in a band a block from where they played so we'd always hang out and write ****.

^^ If you're a big fish in a little pond, that's cool in my books. Had I known Jonathan Toews or Mike Ridley (both NHLers from Winnipeg)... you guys would have been, who?

drank a couple beers with OJ and Cid, though i dont recall Cid drinking back in 2005 or 2006.

had a real good conversation with OJ about Meshuggah's 8 String guitars as Nothing had just recently come out.

This thread made me think......I lived in NY for most of my life where celebs hang out....but no, I never saw anyone famous around my way. Not even a semi-famous Dominican singer. Aside from concerts, I never even been close to someone famous.

Guess I'm not a fame whore.

I used to play soccer with the bassist for Theory of a Dead Man, before they hit 'big time'.

damn...accidentally clicked "yes," when the answer is a resounding "no." I have met and spent time with a few notable people, but I can't really think of anyone semi-famous who is a friend or even an aquaintance that I speak with on a regular basis.

In 1977 I lost a dollar in a game of 8-ball to Sylvester Stallone's double.
    Does that count?

They were filming F.I.S.T. in Dubuque, IA (my home town) at the time. The
actor/double's name was Tony Mazerri/Mazelli/or something similar; he was
a dead ringer for Stallone in profile, but not straight-on. He was from Clinton,
IA where I'd just graduated from juco.

    I know....great story.

Just with Cybergod. He doesn't get high as often as he
used to, but he and I agree....clean living is no fun at all."
