The man is a cut above the rest of the league. Hands down. He had so many Jordan esque shots last night it was incredible...If he can win 3 more rings he will pass Jordan as the greatest to ever play. Especially when the competition in the 2000's is much higher than in Jordan's era.

The league actually allowed contact in the 90s, so that more than makes up for the zone defense.

duuuude, you actually believe that the Kobe has better competition than Jordan?? Jordan played when the sport was a physical sport. in this days the sport is gay, why too much stupid fouls. He also play against the best Centers at their prime.
Jordan was like 10 years ahead of everyone. Kobe not that much. Also his first 2 rings Shaq play a huge role, so Kobe only has 1 by himself.
I said competition at their position is better now than in the 90's. Jordans biggest shots in the playoffs was when he was bieng gaurded by russle and ehlo those guys would be coming off the bench on most teams right now.
The center position was way better in the 90's but that's not the spot where kobe and jordan play. Jordan is better than kobe no doubt but when kobe's career is over it will be comparable to MJ. Especially when kobe gets #5 this year. Ha
dude jordan did not have to play in today's western conference or deal with perennial powerhouses every year IE the spurs who have 4 ships this year. It is quite obvious the level of play is much higher in today's NBA
