I know Kos is coming off of a couple of losses and it's probably easy to dismiss his abilities but do people expect him to do better than Fitch?

A lot of people on this forum thought Fitch was always better than Kos but I never thought so. I thought that Josh was way more explosive, has more power, and is more of an athelete than Fitch.

All that being said, do you expect Maia to sub and/or control him like he did to Fitch.

If Maia can't get him down, do you think Kos's striking is superior to Maia?

In the UFC, every fight he has had has been horrible. What is most amazing about just how horrible his fights have been are who his opponents have been. His first fight was a terrible one against Martin Kampman. kampman has had 1 total boring fight in the ufc. 3 of his his next 4 fights after shields were great, the FOTN against Diego, and the comebacks against Alves and Ellenberger that won SOTN and KOTN.
shields's next fight was against GSP and even more boring than the average GSP fight.
next up was Ellenberger, where Shields at least had the courtesy of getting KOd quickly to make for a fun fight. I admit that fight didn't suck. Next was against Akiyama who had never had a boring fight before. To put into perspective how hard it is to have a boring fight with akiyama, he had 4 other fights in the UFC with 3 winning FOTN and the other being his destruction by Vitor. Sheilds next bores the crowd against Ed Herman who is normally a fun fighter to watch, although not the most entertaining. and last was the horrible fight against woodley, who was coming off his 30 second KO of Jay Hieron.

apparently, if you can't ko shields quickly, he will suck the life out of his opponent and the fans with style of throwing non stop love taps at his opponent throughout the fight. fighting him stand up must be like having a mosquito buzzing around you and biting your legs, its not going to hurt you but gets pretty annoying and throws off your concentration.

he hasn't come remotely close to submitting anyone in the ufc despite all the talk about what an amazing sub grappler he is. he failed a drug test. i would think he will get cut after his next loss, too bad the judges gave it to him over woodley.

I mean come on, what a complete and utter dis-service to the paying public and people in attendance.

Big Country was gassed before he even set foot in the ring, and spent half the match hoping and preying for the end of the round.
Dan doesn't deserve to be in the main event anymore, his mouth was open wider than a $5 hooker and yet again he was as slow as a trapeze artist with baskets on his feet.

Those two bouts alone wasted 3 rounds just watching the fighters puff and pant away the time. Shame on their fight camps, and shame on the UFC on putting fighters on the main card in much bad physical shape.

However I have got to say, there is no shame in Pat Berry losing, despite the loss, the dude is genuine and wears his emotions. That shot of his mug when the result was announced was enough to make a baby cry.

Canadian middleweight Patrick Cote and Australian fighter Kyle Noke will serve as head coaches on a new international edition of "The Ultimate Fighter" called "TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia."

UFC officials today announced the plan.

The show, tentatively scheduled to debut in early 2014, will feature welterweight UFC hopefuls.

Tryouts will begin in September for "TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia," which is the 22nd edition of the UFC's long-running reality show. The tryouts will take place in Sydney and Toronto, though details won't be released until next month.

The show will air in Canada on Sportsnet and TVA Sports, and on FX in Australia. U.S. broadcast plans weren't announced.

Cote and Noke both are previous "TUF" cast members. The announcement didn't state if they'll meet in a traditional season-ending, coach-vs.-coach bout.

Cote (19-8 MMA, 6-8 UFC), a former middleweight title challenger and "TUF 4" runner-up, is on a 6-1 run, which included a recent welterweight debut and a decision victory over Bobby Voelker. He's currently in his fifth stint with the UFC.

Noke (20-6-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC), a quarterfinalist on "TUF 11," won his first three UFC fights. Recently he halted a two-fight skid with a TKO victory over Charlie Brenneman at UFC 152. He's been on the sidelines since the September fight due to a shoulder injury.

"TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia" is the third country-vs.-country edition of the show. Sanchez is coming off a close split-decision win over Takanori Gomi in March at UFC on FUEL TV 8 in his return to the lightweight division after a 2-2 run at welterweight. Sanchez missed weight for the fight, making it a 158-pound catchweight bout. At welterweight, he beat Paulo Thiago and Martin Kampmann, but dropped fights to John Hathaway and Jake Ellenberger.

The move back up to welterweight to begin with for the Season 1 middleweight winner of "The Ultimate Fighter" came after losing a lightweight title fight to B.J. Penn in 2009.

Melendez will be fighting for the first time since an April lightweight title fight split-decision loss to champion Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 7. The former longtime Strikeforce 155-pound champ made his UFC debut in the fight.

Coincidentally, Sanchez told MMAjunkie.com Radio that Melendez was an opponent he'd be interested in fighting on the Milwaukee card. Now he'll get him, just a little bit later.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones has verbally agreed to defend his title against #2-ranked Swedish contender Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson at UFC 165 in Toronto, Canada on September 21.

The bout will be Jones' third title defense in Toronto; he also defeated Lyoto Machida at UFC 140 in December of 2011 and Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 last September in the Canadian city.

The bout has been building heat on Twitter with Gustafsson first tweeting "Its on @JonnyBones cant wait to get in that cage with YOU!!!" and Jones responding "Fighting me is not good for your image @AlexTheMauler FYI".

The two also shared an advance staredown in the crowd of a Russian MMA event last month.
