Certainly not the worst call ever, but I'd say the most costly blown call ever.

Cost Calgary the 2004 Stanley Cup. The non-goal is at about the 5:10 mark.

I'm surprised a Laffs fan hasn't jumped in here whining about the missed high stick call on Gretzky in the '93 Conference Finals.
If you ask a Laffs fan, they'll tell you the missed call cost them the Stanley Cup (totally disregarding, as Laffs fan do, that they'd still have needed to beat Montreal).

On that note, Marty McSorely's bent stick call in the Stanley Cup. Kings woulda won that **** and gone up 2-0, taking a firm control over the series. Instead, they never recover, Habs score on that PP, win the game and the next 3 games.

That wasn't a missed call, that was a ****ing genius call by Jacques Demers.

Of course you'd say that  It's just like that bull**** pine tar call on George Brett back in the day haha. The timing of the call was terrible and what advantage was he really gaining?? McSorely barely ever played the puck.

My head explodes even trying to think about all the bad calls the refs have made...

How was the timing terrible? You do realize that the refs aren't responsible for making that call, right? The opposing coach (in this case, Jacques Demers) is responsible for initiating an illegal curve call. If he's wrong then his team is penalized for delay of game.

If you want to blame someone then blame McSorley for using an illegal curve which, you claim, gave him no advantage...with time running out in a one-goal game, no less.

If he was allowed to continue using that curve, years later, Donald Brashere's head may have been much better off
