If there's a thread for this already just ignore what I am saying.

Not really big into current games and I have fun pouring through the catalogs of the old stuff.

I just bought a Nintendo 64 expansion pack online. Does anyone have any experience with this? Did I waste 10 bucks on it or will it make my games look better?

It depends on which games you play. Some require it, some have better textures with it, some don't make any use of it at all.

As for old-school gaming, Sprty still plays the SNES regularly.

I still play the regular NES. My son loves Contra so we play it twice a week or so. My brother comes over occasionally and we get into the super techmo bowl and rbi baseball.

I decided to plow through the Resident Evil games recently. I plan on playing them in order, starting with the first one.

Does anyone have any experience playing the ps1 version vs. the gamecube? I want to know if they made it a bit easier in the port to gamecube. I like my games to be as hard as possible but I'd also like the nicer graphics of the gamecube. Any opinions either way?

Here is the thing. We all matured since the first RE came out and most ppl will actually say that the ps version is harder cuz we were younger. Now, I can tell you that the gc version looks better and has more scenes and crap. I found that version easier cuz. I already beat it and I'm aged around 5years since the first version came out, i think.

Btw the gamecube is the best console for RE gaming. It has all of them expect RE5.

Start with

Zero
Code Veronica
RE1 - RE4

Then play 5 in a newer console.

I always gets confused in where CV goes in the story

Whoa. I didn't think of that. I knew the storylines were out of sequence but playing them in thematic order never occured to me.

I play a bunch of new old-school style games as we speak.

Such as Terraria, Braid, and Trine.
