Creatine is suppose to help you with the pump. Keeps you energized and focused throughout your work out. I've actually stopped using creatine because it dehydrated me big time and it gave me the ****s.
I always LOL @ the description in wiki claiming:
"While there was once some concern that creatine supplementation could affect hydration status and heat tolerance and lead to muscle cramping and diarrhea, recent studies have shown these concerns to be unfounded."
Unfounded my ****ing ass.
Anyway, if you have good energy without it, I wouldn't take creatine. I'd work out first, hit that plateau and then maybe start taking creatine just to mix it up.

I've been working out for sometime now, maybe 7 months solid now and feel like i want to move to the next level, its used to be just about keeping trim but now im getting addicted to the pump and want to get jacked!
im not into roids or anything like that but i really want to get shredded and pack a bit of muscle on!
Gutted its going to give me the ****s though! harsh stuff! lol

Hahaha yeah... good thing about that is some brands don't give you the ****s. For me, I'd say 75% of them do so it's not even worth it. Maybe you're not as sensitive to it?
I'd recommend getting some type of sample with your next order of supplements, or go to a supplement store and see if they have any you can try.
I'm not an expert so I can't tell you the physical prooperties of creatine or anything but I just know how it affects my body. If you've been lifting for 7 months I think that's a good time to try something new like creatine. Just hydrate 2x as much that day.

I wrote out a post, but I think this site can help you a bit more:
http://www.muscleandstrength.com/supplements/creatine.html
But yes in general, it will help you get bigger since you can work out longer and recover faster in between work outs.

I have taken creatine a bunch of times over the past 15 years or so. I normally saw an increase in strength and muscle size as long as I was consistently going to the grin. I also retained some water, and actually looked better after going on it for a couple of months and then coming off and loosing the water weight.
I'm thinking about starting it up again, I bough some a couple of months ago, but never used it consistently, so its just sitting in my cabinet.

dont buy capsules. just get a cheap monohydrate and take it before and after your workouts. also take the recommended amount on off days. buy in bulk.
personally i stopped buying whey. im not a body builder. whole foods can get the job done post workout just as good as anything. i bought some BCAA for breaking my fasts. and regular caffeine is probably the better financial choice to get amped up.

This right here....get a micronized creatine monohydrate...micronized just makes it easier to mix.......take before and after the workout........I personally just threw it into my protein shake.

Oh yeah, if you use creatine cycle for a month. then take a week or 2 off from it.
everyone on this board and any lifting forum has wasted money on supplements. just do more research next time.
for instance, you can buy creatine for $8 a pound or better.

Cheers dude, will have a look around for a better deal next time, the only reason I got it from the place I did was because its a well known place for good qualityy suppliments that gave free shipping!
What sort of sites would you recommend or suppliments, I always trust you guys to give some quality advice!
Even OliG has given some sound advice that given the time I will throw myself into!

What the **** you mean EVEN I've given good advice?! :) That's what I'm full of, good advice!
Just nobody listens! Lol.
I should have said..stop drinking water and eat Creatine by the ****ing spoonful on the hour, every hour! :)
If you load it (ie: saturate your body with it over the first week) you'll get quicker results, but overall you'll get hte same results whether you load or not, so I'd say don't load it as you're best to build up your dosage!
See I give good advice! :) ****er.
I'll even point you in the direction of a good uk site that always has sales, etc.
www.discountsuppliments.co.uk
As far as Whey Protein, it's nothing to really worry about, it will just help woth muscle recovery post workout. So you won't get that "**** I can't get out of bed or walk properly!" feeling you get the day after a really heavy workout. I'm probably gonna butcher this but I think it has to do with helping repair the muscle fibres that tear slightly when you exercise. ie, they tear and then heal slightly bigger, hence you' muscles grow! It helps with that process I believe?

I'm just starting out on the same path, although I'm pretty skinny so am looking to get really toned and add a bit of muscle mass, but mostly definition.
ie, I want people to go "Oh, you're really skinny!" and then you bust out the ripped up body and 8 pack (er, ok maybe not!) and go "Say what now tubby?!" :)
Yeah that site is good, real quick and always % off. Plus, get a shaker as they make mixing post workout shakes, etc SO much easier! Actually get 2 because if you're like me and forget to clean it out immediately the milk left over in it will start to hum real quick!
Cleaning it out just before you do your next one is kind of off putting! :)

You sound a lot like me dude, I play a lot of team sports and a few of the guys said I was a bit light weight and started calling me pretty boy etc!
We were all getting changed before first game and I bust open the 6 pack and shoulders and people started shutting up! Just kind of want to take it up a notch or two now! Also women dig it like crazy and ive been getting seious tail since!
Ive mainly been reading rather than posting mate, some of the threads are ok but havent had any great points to make and now that Tito is a nothing fighter defending him has become impossible
Would a smart way to go about it be loading with these capsuals that I rushed into buying then start using the powder once they have run out??
OliG83v.2
06-07-2011, 10:03 AM
Not really sure to be honest about capsules and loading? Do you have them yet? They should say something about loading on the packaging, although it is such a debated topic.
Some swear by it, others say it's pointless and just advised so you get through it quicker! Generally I think you'll get slightly quicker results, but I'd personally say don't bother with the loading. You'll be surprised at how much water you need to take on, especially if your loading the stuff!
Take the capsules as directed (not loading) then get some powder when they're gone, if all is going well.
Taking both Creatine to give you more energy/intensity/focus on your workout followed by Whey Protein to aid recovery, you should be able to pick up your workouts over time.
Like everything, it's not instant but should bring results.
And yes, you're right, Tito does indeed suck! :)

4 or 5 times a day to load up on it, morning, lunch, pre workout (maybe an hour before), post workout (as soon as possible) and just before bed.

I have purchased capsules, 6 capsules works out to be 4200mg, should I be taking 4 sets of 3 tablets a day (12 in total) then revert after loading for 2 weeks down to 3 before work out and then 3 after work out?
Sorry if these are obvious questions but im just a bit of an enthusiastic novice and just kind of want to get a feel for a routine etc!
What are you doing Oli are you using Powder?

I can't use any protein or creatine because of the one kidney thing! :(
Protein breaks down into the waste product that your kidneys need to shift, so now I only have one I shouldn't be making it do any more work than is strictly neccessary!
Also Creatine dehydrates you and will also make your kidneys work, so same as above.
Christ mate, I'm a bit slow on that, I forget how much in powder form you take each time, maybe someone else can comment, or try bodybuilding forums, to work out how much you should take each dose. Then work out how many capsules = a dose.
Sorry can't be more helpful.

I donated my other one to a friend in January. :)
I'd do 3 sets of 4. Then it's more spread out throughout the day. Before and after workout are the really important ones!

If your going to load then I would take...one scoop 4 times a day, then back off to two scoops a day, 30 minutes or so before the workout and one after the workout. I always just mixed it in with my post workout shake.
