I remember seeing this years ago. Its still just as awseome now as it was then. NORTHSIDE KINGS ARE UNDEFEATED!!!! NSK are a great hardcore band. **** Danzig.

I'm very hesitant to admit this, but I really like some of Danzig's tunes.
But, everytime I hear an interview with Danzig, he comes off as an arrogant ****stick.

I remember being thoroughly impressed when I was a kid watching "Mother" by Danzig. I thought the entire band were the single most badass group of people ever.
And 20 years later, I look at this thread.

I don't have a personal opinion of Glenn, but I've talked to people that have hung out with him, and have said that he is a lil bitch with small man's syndrome.
I love Danzig, Samhain, and old Misfits but lately his stuff was ****. New album just came out and sounds like Danzig 1, 2, and 3.

i like danzig's music (especially misfits - and i like samhain), but i too heard he was a real dick. i remember seeing an interview with scott ian (who i've met and is a super cool dude) and he mentioned that he loved the misfits, and glenn freaked out.
seen this video a while back, and everytime i see it i think "you reap what you sow" - i'm sure he had it coming.

I think those are the years I went, too. Were they at the state fairgrounds in Syracuse?
I used to love going to shows, especially when my friends' bands would be playing. I stopped going a couple years ago and don't listen to hardcore or metal as much. I don't even try to discover new bands, but I try to keep up on bands I liked that put out new material.

In the May 2011 issue of U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, Glenn Danzig was asked about the widely circulated video clip from 2004 (see below) where NORTH SIDE KINGS singer and frequent SOULFLY collaborator Danny Marianinho confronts Glenn backstage because Danny's band didn't get to play at one of DANZIG's gigs before Glenn shoves him and ends up getting punched out by Marianinho. To this day, there are those who are surprised that someone with Danzig's martial-arts training should have been so easily knocked down.
"I allowed it to happen," Glenn told Metal Hammer. "Why? Because there are always those looking to goad you into hitting them so they can sue you. It happens to public figures all the time. It's a way of life."
There you go guys. Glenn just let it happen because he didnt want to get sued.

Yeah that is where they were at. That is my situation too. Once I settled down and started a family I pretty much stopped going to shows. I still have a friend who has played in a couple really good hardcore bands (derringer, van damage, steel nation) ao when I am with him is the only time I scheck out new bands.

My first thoughts when I saw this... Why didn't any of his boys get his back and jump on the guy that ko'd their boy?

Nope. No relation to Mac.
He has been in the music business for a pretty long time. Probably longer than Mac has been alive.
