Not sure how credible it is, but I heard that Tom Brady might be wearing a 49ers uniform next season for a 1st round pick, and some change.

Apparently they like how Cassel is playing, and might keep him around.

Again- I dont think NE would be that stupid, but as a 49er fan I welcome it with open arms.

Sound like wishful thinking, buddy. I think you've got a better chance of scoring Cassell than Brady but with the pat's history of trading/letting go their aging stars it wouldn't be a huge shock.

but I still think my kc rumor kicks more ass.

It wont hurt them. I'm sure Brady would be all over it, he's from the San Fran area, and his endorsements already are greater than his NFL salary

The Pats wont let Brady go and if they don't resign Cassel someone will. However I think Cassel is Derek Anderson v2.0. He was QBing a team with great receivers and a great line, who were lead by a great coach with a great system.

Chad Pennington, with time to learn the system like Cassel has had, could have stepped in as the Pats QB after Brady went down and had a 3500+ yard 20+TD season. Hell, Shaun Hill could have stepped in and put up those numbers(In 7 starts for a team with a suspect O-Line, average WRs, and an offensive coordinator who is being reigned in by the new head coach to run the ball more, has 1800 yards passing and 12 TDs. He would probably throw for 4000 and 30 with the Pats offense.)

I say the Niners give Hill the shot as the starter next year. He's shown he can win. They just need to practice their red zone and two minute drill offenses, because that's lost them a few games since Hill took over(Cardinals, Cowboys, and Dolphins should all have been wins if we had just scored TDs instead of settling for FGs or managed to punch in a 1yd run).
