pac man..

if someone said before he actually signed with the cowboys this year, that he would be suspended twice this season and was going to get in a bunch of trouble, no way would be have been let back into the league.

When is enough enough? He obviously does not value his position and is taking the nfl, fans and the game for granite. GHTFO

God damn you guys are annoying!!! Both of you!!

Debo's answer to every fucking question is 'Hines Ward'.

Hey debo, what's the meaning of life? "Hines Ward, for sure."

And LBB has to throw in his favorite broncos players in every discussion even when there's no god damned reason to.

Hey LBB, what did you think about the Steelers x Patriots game? "Oh Jay Cutler is pretty fucking good when he gets some emotion in him and Eddie Royal should be the rookie of the year, you know?"

uhh well considering if you ask people who the best recievers in the draft were, you would mostly get responses to eddie royal and desaun jackson. Jackson was mentioned and I mentioned royal. And I would take royal over jackson any day due to his personality. You seriously pissed at something so pitty? wow.

Andre Johnson could probably be the best WR in football.

I have been saying this for awhile. he doesn't get the amount of touchdowns as a guy like Anquan Boldin or Randy Moss, but he does everything right and that offense isn't nearly as good without him in there. He also plays well with either Schaub or Rosenfels in, alot of receivers aren't able to play well when having to switch back and forth between quarterbacks.

okay breaking it down like that adds some weight to your choice and now i can respect it but imo he still doesnt hold a candle to TO or pacman

TO called his QB a homsexual so he would get traded then when ( in SF go figure LOL) the 49ers started suckign he goes and plays somewhere else... and how many chances does pacman get to fuck a goat in the NFL front office before they say... "hey this guy is raping a goat on your desk commish what are you going to do about it?"

TO isn't looked upon as a leader or a great teammate, but Favre is, which is why it means more when he puts himself ahead of the not only a team but the entire league.

Just my opinion of course, but the last guy in the NFL I would want on my team would be Brett Favre, because he is sucha diva and because he is probably the most overrated QB in NFL history.

If you really think Favre is a great QB, go watch the game he played against the Raiders the week his Dad died, which almost everybody would say was the best game he ever played and tell me it was more about Favre playing great rather than the truth which was his wideouts played fan-fucking-tastic in that game. He threw at least 10 balls up for grabs and his guys went and got every one of them, that is not the mark of a great QB, it is the mark of a QB getting bailed out by the better players on his team, the WRs.

You cant play that card on Favre, dude.

He gets forced, more or less, into retirement because everyones waiting on the kid making millions behind him to get his shot. He came out and said it himself, he felt pressured into retirement, and made a premature decision.

Its easy to sit here on a forum and call him a diva for it, but when your in his shoes, and your playing a game you fucking LOVE, seeing your career wind down, you cant just rush out of the game. He didnt wanna retire at the end of it all, and came back while he still could. It was more so the media's fault for all the exposure. Brett didnt do it to take attention away from Aaron Rodgers, he just wanted out.

Brett is a tad bit overrated, but the dude wins games. You can sit there and nit pick at his accomplishments and discredit them as much as you want, but the dude wins games.

Just like Randy, just like Forrest, just like Sherk, Hughes, Mir, etc. People can sit there and pick out all the weaknesses they want, but they fucking win.

Edit--And I stand by my earlier choice of DeSean Jackson. Bad persona's are team cancers...Desean, TO, Pacman, Chris Henry, Albert Haynesworth is not a cancer, but still a douche for what he did a few years back, Jeremy Shockey, etc.

You can't honestly believe that can you? Why is it that every Jets player that has said anything after the season is talking shit about Favre? Go back and find all the info on Favre once he got to the Jets, he was talking about Green Bay way more than he was talking about NY. He is the most selfish player in the league hands down. Has one of if no the biggest ego in the game, which you can see by him playing into his late 30's when he hasn't helped his team win games in 5 or 6 years. If you care about the team first you retire before you hurt the team, which Favre sure as hell didn't do.

What did Favre expect the Packers to do? He was asked to make a decision before the draft so the team knows which holes they have to fill, which was the right by the team. You can't go into a draft not knowing a)how much cap space you have or b)if you are short a QB. Favre making over $10 million a year puts him in the position of quick thinking because that is 10% of a team cap, so they have to know if they have that money or not.

Favre loses just as many games as he wins for his teams. Throwing overtime INTs loses games, hell just throwing picks loses games. He does both quite well.

First football game I ever watched, and from then on I've loved the Packers, and Favre, and hated the Broncos. That said... You do realize he took the Packers to the Championship game last season right?

His first season with a new team, you expect everything to go smoothly? please... At least he has a ring, more then can be said of Shockey or TO or Ocho Cinco

He took the Packers to the Championship game? No, he was part of the team that went to the NFC Championship game, the defense is the reason they made it that far.

Care to mention what happened at the end of that game?

He led that team, don't deny it. And where's that team now? Not so great...

I can't argue that he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions and all that, but that is besides the point. Is he the greatest QB ever? Nope. Is he one of the best ever. Absofuckinlutely, and to deny that is just being a hater. This is all besides the point anyways...

As for this threads actual purpose, is he a "diva" or a bad personality? Maybe you can say yes judging from this past season, or rather offseason, but overall he has been nothing but classy and one of the most fun QBs to watch imo. He is one of the few I have seen who actually plays like a football player, not a protected QB. He'll dive forward, he'll block for his running backs, etc and he just makes the game fun.

the worst thing Favre has done is overexpose himself, which isn't really his fault. The media loves him, or loves to hate him.

srdafish
01-06-2009, 04:49 PM
This has not just gone on this year, the biggest story in the offseason the last 5 years is "will favre retire?", which is a joke. Who cares if the 20th best QB in the NFL is going to retire or not? Only stupid people that think he is the greatest of all time.

And Skidds don't start that nonsense that the Packers were a better team than Denver was in the mid to late 90s. Denver should have won back to back to back superbowls, but overlooked an expansion Jags team in 96. You Packer fans are lucky you got to play the Pats, because Denver would have beat you like they did in 97.

20th QB in the NFL last season? Right... *hater alert*

Yeah his offseason retirement shit has been going on for a while but how does that make him a Diva? He's just been unsure as to what to do with his career now that it is in its twilight. Still not his fault the media eats that shit up.

Do you think favre is the only player in the league that thinks about retiring? Hell no, but he is the only one that thinks it's such a big deal that everybody has to know right away. You act like Favre doesn't give the media the scoop, so they will talk about him.

Go look at Favre's stats since 2004 he has been average at best, throwing upwards of 20 picks a year, A YEAR!

I don't hate Couture, I do however state my opinion which is if he drops to 205 he loses a ton of respect for ducking Nog again. That is the only reason for him to drop, he won't get into title contention at LHW, so all he would be doing is ducking a guy he knows he can't beat.

I was referring to Couture in regards to his retirement on/off status.

Any QB that has serious thoughts about retirement will tell the press. Only Favre has (had) most the press hanging off his nuts. Now it seems like even they are getting ad naseum from their own shit, which of course passes onto the casual fan who once feared openly talking shit about him cuz of his status but now has free reign because of all the BS.

And I still say getting to the NFC championship game speaks for itself (horrible weekend, both Chargers and Packers lost their Championship game...).

And I still cannot argue that his interceptions hurt the team. Doesn't make him a diva though, just past his prime. And for the record, I was hoping he would retire a Packer...

How can you think Favre is a worse character then the other names mentioned?

cybergod
01-06-2009, 05:53 PM
Biggest dickhead/mediocre player? Adam Pac-Man Jones.

Worst Prima Donna? Terrell Owens, no one else is close.

Most Overrated Prima Donna Quarterback? Brett "Maybe I'll Retire,
Stay Tuned, Maybe I'll Change My Mind" Favre.

I've always wanted to barf when announcers would gush like little
schoolgirls over Favre's "enthusiasm"....like it's really, really tough to
be enthused for playing a game and getting paid millions, for erratic
performances. :D

I can argue it because those guys that you name have teammates that like them, unlike Favre. Also his streak is 100% ego and you can't deny that. Do other players play at way less than 100% to keep a streak alive? No they don't hurt their team like Favre did/does. The guy thinks he is more important than everybody else, which is why I think he has the worst persona in the league.

favre dont think he is more important than everyone else, he is just an old man who is having a hard time giving up on the sport he loves. I dont see how they get rid of him after he takes their team to the NFC championship game and loses in showy overtime(I think)..now look at the packers. Favre can still play his best, he just has to stop forcing the ball, which he has done his entire career now so maybe its a lost cause. Favre is a good Qb and with that he has done and given to the nfl, he deserves to have some weight to pull around..kinda like the old man respect thing.
